Nice and clean room. The shared bathroom was clean and in good number. I didnt have to wait not even once for using it. Friendly staff.
I had to stay one more night and I had to move to a different room, worse than the first one. There was only one plug, occupied with the fridge. So, I had to unplug it to use my computer. No free wifi, but you can buy 1 gb connection for 10 dollars, which is not so bad.

During my recent stay at Ymca, I had a truly enjoyable experience. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The spacious room provided more than enough cupboard space for all of my belongings. It was also great to have a fridge in the room, making it convenient to store snacks and drinks.

The hotel is conveniently located near downtown but not close to noise, making it a great base for exploring Auckland. It's just a 10-minute walk from the center, making it easy to get around and discover the city. The staff provide excellent service and are attentive to detail, ensuring that guests have a comfortable stay. The basic amenities, including comfortable beds and clean shared bathrooms, are well-maintained. Additionally, the hotel offers breakfast and has a clean fridge available for guests to use.
No improvements needed, everything was perfectly fine.

Staff are helpful and friendly. Meet a lot more friends. Cleaniness of place is very good da cleaners do a good job.
First of all wat I was dissapointed in was how some of the back packers or rather long term stayers how they took advantage and broke hostel rules by having alcohol on premises in there room. Yes these people were dealt with but point is staff knew bout this and turned away from reporting it becos these people were staffs mates. Second issue I have which happened twice jst recently was weed was smoked out side entrance of hostel some of these people were long term stayers and others back packers, bascially wat is happening is hostel is attracting wrong type of people to stay there, wen I come back to auckland I will be applying to stay at the ywca instead .
